말레이시아 관광청, ‘2026년 말레이시아 방문의 해’ 기념

글로벌 캠페인 영상 ‘SURREAL EXPERIENCES’ 공개

 말레이시아 관광청이 ‘2026년 말레이시아 방문의 해(Visit Malaysia 2026, 이하 VM2026)’를 맞아 새로운 글로벌 캠페인 영상 시리즈 ‘SURREAL EXPERIENCES’를 공개했다.
 
이번 캠페인은 말레이시아가 지닌 문화적 다양성, 경이로운 자연, 사람 중심의 따뜻한 정서를 중심으로, “보는 여행”에서 “느끼는 여행”으로의 전환을 시도하는 대형 콘텐츠 프로젝트다. 

영상은 다국어(영어, 아랍어, 중국어) 내레이션과 함께, 중동·중국·유럽 등 주요 타깃 시장을 고려한 다양한 포맷으로 제작되었으며, 말레이시아의 전통 북소리를 스토리텔링의 중심 장치로 활용해 지역과 문화를 연결하는 몰입형 내러티브를 전달한다.
 
특히 캠페인의 시작을 알리는 영상 초반의 테마인 Echoes of Harmony(하나된 울림)는 전통악기인 베둑(beduk) 소리로 시작해, 열대 우림과 바다, 도시와 전통마을 등 말레이시아의 대표 명소를 여행하듯 보여주며, 각 지역의 문화적 상징을 하나의 리듬으로 엮어낸다.
 
영상 곳곳에서는 말레이계의 자핀(Zapin), 인도계의 바라타나티얌(Bharatanatyam), 중국계의 사자춤(Lion Dance) 등 말레이시아를 대표하는 다양한 민족 전통 무용이 등장하며, ‘하나의 말레이시아(Unity in Diversity)’를 시청각적으로 풀어낸 것이 특징이다.
 
이번 캠페인은 말레이시아 정부가 추진 중인 지속가능한 관광(Sustainable Tourism), 포용성(Inclusivity), 지역경제 성장(Economic Growth)의 핵심 가치를 시각적으로 담아내고 있으며, VM2026의 글로벌 브랜딩 전략의 일환으로 구성되었다.
 
말레이시아 관광청 서울사무소 카밀리아 하니 압둘 할림 소장은 “이번 영상 시리즈는 단순한 홍보물이 아닌, 말레이시아라는 국가의 정체성과 매력을 감성적으로 풀어낸 초대장”이라며 “한국 시장 역시 VM2026의 전략적 핵심 시장으로, 앞으로도 다양한 현지 맞춤 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 선보일 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
